Why Soy Wax?
Soy Wax is Cleaner, Healthier, and Greener than Paraffin
BsaB All Natural Candles is dedicated to using only the finest available ingredients in our creations, that’s why we use only 100% soybean wax for our soy candles. Most candles are made with chemical distillates or paraffin which is the final byproduct in the petroleum (fuel) refining process. Alternatively, soy wax is made from soybeans which means that it is a renewable resource, it burns cleaner, does not emit petroleum toxins, and lasts longer (an average of three times longer) than paraffin wax.
Although a candle can be called “soy wax” if it contains as little as 25% soy wax, BsaB Candles uses only 100% pure soy wax in our soy candles.

Safety Tip:
The maximum recommended burn time for BsaB Candles is four (4) hours per burn. Burning longer than this time is dangerous especially when combined with improper wick trimming. An improperly trimmed wick can create a high flame and temperature forming a deep melt pool that may fatigue even our heat-safe glass over time. Each time before you light your BsaB soy candle, trim the wick down to ¼”. Do not allow wick trimmings to fall into your wax melt pool. Always burn candles in areas free from drafts.

Soy wax is all-natural, it will not produce the thick black soot that you see on paraffin candle containers, it produces only a lighter, white soot. Using too large of a wick or the incorrect wick may produce more soot.
Research suggests that breathing paraffin fumes from a burning paraffin candle in an enclosed room, may have the same detrimental effect as inhaling significant second-hand tobacco smoke, or even the exhaust fumes of a small diesel engine.
