BsaB is attempting to become 100% self sufficient and carbon neutral, or better. We believe that everyone—including and especially businesses—have a responsibility to the earth. Some think that “going green” is just a fad find ways to profess being green without really making those small but necessary changes. For example, some companies may claim they are green because they buy “carbon credits”—the seller of “carbon credits” promises to do various things to reduce or cancel out the buying companies’ carbon footprint. There is far too much “green-washing” out there, just as there are far too many candle makers trying to act natural and healthy when they really are not. At BsaB Candles, we do not think this is sufficient. Companies should take an active part in becoming truly green from the inside out.
At BsaB Candles, we believe “the devil is in the details.” That’s why we are striving to make every detail our of company truly “green.”
Our new Creation Center—our manufacturing plant and corporate office— will be 100% solar powered. As one of the first companies in Asia to do this, we hope to start a trend. Even the type of paper we use for everyday printing and invoicing is 100% recycled and we recycle or reuse any waste.
Our level of dedication to the earth is quite an anomaly in Thailand, or Asia for that matter, and we hope to be a role model for other companies throughout the world.
